Our family has been affected by mold in our home and need to be out for remediation. We decided to buy a “brand new” fifth wheel and we are so thankful we didn’t just take it home. Dewayne found multiple things that were wrong, but most importantly he found water damage that could have led to more health problems for our family. We couldn’t be happier using HD-RV. He will continue to inspect until we have found the one to purchase.Posted on Google Louie NiggTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. One of the best inspections I’ve seen. Very detailed inspection and reportPosted on Google Hanna AndersonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I was purchasing a used camper & wanted to make sure everything checked out on it. I highly recommend HD-RV for inspections. They service the Austin, TX area, are communicative, & thorough! I received a verbal & detailed online report (including pictures). Very happy with everythingPosted on Google Flippen DadTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. As a seller who spent crazy money maintaining our motorhome, you wonder what the inspector is going to find. Dewayne and his wife were so kind. Yes they were thorough and they found things I didn’t know about (which I fully expected), but that level of thorough detailed quality work is so rare these days - you have to respect it. They are great people and were very complimentary and respectful. They pointed out things I could address whether I sold the coach or not. I would call them if I was buying again.Posted on Google Antoinette AcriTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Highly recommend we came into town to buy a motorhome and decided last minute to get inspected. Quick response and was able to inspect next day! Found issues that were not told by the dealer! Very prompt and great communication! Can tell they care about what they do!!!Posted on Google Julia hanleyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Dwayne did a great job. He kept us informed when he arrived, called to give a short update and provided a report all in one dayPosted on Google Robby SmithTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. They did an thorough and detailed inspection for me. I knew nothing about Motorhomes and they explained everything to me and sent a detailed list of issues they found. They called me on the phone and walked through everything with me as I reviewed the report. They even sent me a bunch of how to videos for new motor home owners and gave me maintenance check list items for motor home owners. Very helpfully and worth a 5 star rating.Posted on Google Elizabeth OhlemacherTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Highly recommend! Found him last minute and he was very thorough, spent 9 hours to make sure everything was safe and worked properly for our little family. It was an our first time buying a camper and we are going to be living full time in it. He made sure to check everything and was very honest and detailed. Communication was wonderful and response was quick. Great work!Posted on Google TexHaul Rentals LLCTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Dewayne did an outstanding job with our pre-purchase inspection. We’re based in San Antonio and the RV was all the way out in Sweetwater, but he made the entire process incredibly smooth. He coordinated directly with the seller, handled everything on-site, and kept us fully informed with detailed updates. His professionalism and communication gave us a lot of confidence moving forward with the purchase. Highly recommend his services to anyone needing a thorough and reliable inspection.Posted on Google JT EastonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. DEWAYNE was great. Very thorough and lots of communication. We are in AZ and relied on him to send lots of vids. Which he did. We are moving forward with our purchase.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust. Austin RV inspection services for every coach type.
From a Class A diesel pusher in Lakeway to a fifth-wheel in Bastrop or a travel trailer headed to Lake Travis — we deliver the right inspection for the rig.
Pre-Purchase Inspection
The most common — and most valuable — inspection. A complete top-to-bottom evaluation that arms you with negotiation leverage and removes guesswork from the biggest RV decision you'll make.
- Full systems audit: electrical, propane, plumbing, appliances
- Roof, sidewall, slide-out & seal inspection
- Engine compartment, generator & chassis review (motorhomes)
- Detailed digital report with 100+ photos
Motorhome Inspection
Class A, B, and C motorhomes carry every system of a house plus a heavy-duty drivetrain. Our motorhome inspection covers both — engine compartment, transmission visual review, generator, leveling jacks, and full house systems.
- Optional fluid analysis (engine, transmission, coolant) — $125 each
- Generator load testing & maintenance check
- Hydraulic & electric leveling system audit
- Chassis battery, cables & disconnect switch (per NRVIA SOP §16)
Travel Trailer & Fifth Wheel
Towables require careful attention to coupling, frame, and brake systems. The NRVIA inspection covers each of these by visual and tactile observation across the full coach.
- King pin / hitch system structural inspection
- Frame, axle & suspension evaluation
- House battery, cables & disconnect switch (per NRVIA SOP §18)
- Slide-out mechanism, seals & operation testing
Life Safety + Fluid Analysis Add-On
Life safety items — propane integrity, detector function — are part of every NRVIA inspection. Fluid analysis is an optional add-on that pulls oil, transmission, or coolant samples and sends them to a lab for wear-metal and contamination testing.
- Propane leak test (8" W.C. for 5 min, per NRVIA SOP)
- CO, LP & smoke detector verification
- Hot Skin Test on the 120V system
- Optional fluid sampling — $125 per fluid (oil, trans, coolant, etc.)
Honest pricing, built for your coach.
Every RV is different. Pricing is determined case-by-case based on the rig, the systems involved, and the location. Travel is always built into the quote — never added on after.
Case-by-case inspection pricing.
RV inspections aren't one-size-fits-all. A 22-foot travel trailer and a 45-foot Class A diesel pusher require different time, scope, and expertise — and the price reflects that. Call or message with your coach details and we'll quote you up front.
- Coach type, length, and complexity
- Inspection scope (Pre-Purchase, Life Safety, etc.)
- Site location within the Austin metro
- Any optional add-ons (fluid analysis)
Fluid Analysis
Pulls a fluid sample for lab analysis — wear-metal trending, contamination, and chemistry that visual inspection alone cannot reveal. Highly recommended for high-value coaches and any pre-purchase decision involving an unknown service history.
- Engine Oil
- Transmission
- Coolant
- Generator Oil
- Differential
Mobile across greater Austin.
HD-RV is a fully mobile inspection service. We come to dealerships, RV parks, storage lots, and private residences across the entire Austin metro and surrounding Central Texas communities.
Our primary service area covers Austin, Round Rock, Cedar Park, Pflugerville, Georgetown, Leander, Lakeway, and Bee Cave. We also routinely travel to Dripping Springs, Kyle, Buda, San Marcos, Wimberley, Bastrop, Hutto, and Manor.
We work alongside the area's major dealers, parks & service centers.
HD-RV is independent of every dealership and service shop, but we know the local landscape — where coaches come from, where they're stored, and what the Austin metro market looks like.
Five steps from request to report.
A predictable, transparent workflow built around the buyer's timeline — not the seller's pressure.
Request & Schedule
Call (940) 297-7554 or use the booking form. We confirm coach details, location, seller contact, and timeline. Most Austin-area inspections book within 3 to 7 days.
Coordinate with Seller
We contact the seller or dealership directly to confirm site access, coach readiness (full water, charged batteries, hookups), and any logistics specific to the inspection location.
On-Site Inspection
A typical NRVIA inspection runs 6–8 hours. Every system is documented with photographs, every roof is climbed, every appliance is run, every fluid is checked.
Report Compilation
Findings are compiled into a digital report with high-resolution photos and clear next-step recommendations. Delivered within 24 hours of inspection.
Consultation & Negotiation Support
Every report includes a complimentary post-delivery consultation. We walk you through findings and help you make informed buying, negotiating, or walk-away decisions.
Dewayne Marion + Partner
HD-RV was founded with one principle: every RV buyer deserves a technical, honest, photo-documented inspection — independent of any dealership or sales pressure. Dewayne Marion and his inspection partner work as a two-person team, combining hands-on inspection time with structured NRVIA-protocol documentation.
Every inspection — Austin, Hill Country, or anywhere else in Central Texas — is held to the same standard: NRVIA Standards of Practice, visual and tactile observation across the full coach, no shortcuts. That consistency is what HD-RV is built on.
