Motorhome Inspection

Class A, B, and C motorhomes carry every system of a house plus a heavy-duty drivetrain. Our motorhome inspection covers both — engine, transmission, generator, leveling jacks, and full house systems.

  • Optional fluid analysis (engine, transmission, coolant) — $125 each
  • Generator load testing & maintenance check
  • Hydraulic & electric leveling system audit
  • Chassis battery, cables & disconnect switch (per NRVIA SOP §16)

  • King pin / hitch system structural inspection
  • Frame, axle & suspension evaluation
  • House battery, cables & disconnect switch (per NRVIA SOP §18)
  • Slide-out mechanism, seals & operation testing

Life Safety + Fluid Analysis Add-On

Life safety items — propane integrity, detector function — are part of every NRVIA inspection. Fluid analysis is an optional add-on that pulls oil, transmission, or coolant samples and sends them to a lab for wear-metal and contamination testing.

  • Propane leak test (8" W.C. for 5 min, per NRVIA SOP)
  • CO, LP & smoke detector verification
  • Hot Skin Test on the 120V system
  • Optional fluid sampling — $125 per fluid (oil, trans, coolant, etc.)

Pricing

Honest pricing, built for your coach.

Every RV is different. Pricing is determined case-by-case based on the rig, the systems involved, and the location. Travel is always built into the quote — never added on after.

— Custom Quote

Case-by-case inspection pricing.

RV inspections aren't one-size-fits-all. A 22-foot travel trailer and a 45-foot Class A diesel pusher require different time, scope, and expertise — and the price reflects that. Call or message with your coach details and we'll quote you up front.

  • Coach type, length, and complexity
  • Inspection scope (Pre-Purchase, Life Safety, etc.)
  • Site location within the Coastal Bend
  • Any optional add-ons (fluid analysis)

Our Process

Five steps from request to report.

A predictable, transparent workflow built around the buyer's timeline — not the seller's pressure.

01

Request & Schedule

Call (940) 297-7554 or use the booking form. We confirm coach details, location, seller contact, and timeline. Most coastal inspections book within 3 to 7 days.

02

Coordinate with Seller

We contact the seller or dealership directly to confirm site access, coach readiness (full water, charged batteries, hookups), and any logistics specific to coastal storage facilities.

03

On-Site Inspection

A typical NRVIA inspection runs 6–8 hours. Every system is documented with photographs, every roof is climbed, every appliance is run, every fluid is checked.

04

Report Compilation

Findings are compiled into a digital report with high-resolution photos and clear next-step recommendations. Delivered within 24 hours of inspection.

05

Consultation & Negotiation Support

Every report includes a complimentary post-delivery consultation. We walk you through findings and help you make informed buying, negotiating, or walk-away decisions.

NRVIA Certified · HD-RV LLC Founder

HD-RV was founded with one principle: every RV buyer deserves a technical, honest, photo-documented inspection — independent of any dealership or sales pressure. After serving Central and South Texas markets for years, expanding into the Coastal Bend was a natural step.

Every inspection — coastal or inland — is held to the same standard: NRVIA Standards of Practice, visual and tactile observation across the full coach, no shortcuts. That consistency is what HD-RV is built on.

Frequently Asked

Questions worth asking.

If yours isn't here, call (940) 297-7554 — we'd rather answer it directly than make you guess.

How does coastal Texas air affect RVs differently than inland areas?
Salt-laden air along the Coastal Bend accelerates corrosion on RV frames, hitches, slide-out mechanisms, electrical connections, propane systems, and exterior fasteners. Galvanic corrosion and pitting are documented environmental realities for coaches stored within 30 miles of the Gulf. The NRVIA Standards of Practice call for a thorough visual and tactile examination of these areas — exactly the methodology our inspections follow.
Should I inspect an RV that's been through a hurricane or tropical storm?
Absolutely. Storm-affected RVs can pass a casual visual review and still hide serious water damage behind walls, ceilings, and floors. Per NRVIA Standards of Practice, we conduct a thorough visual and tactile inspection — examining ceilings for staining and discoloration, walls for damage and prior repair, floors for soft spots, and roof seams and seals for failure. These observations consistently reveal the storm-related issues that surface months — not days — after the event.
Do you travel to RV parks in Port Aransas, Rockport, and Mustang Island?
Yes. We are a fully mobile service. We routinely inspect RVs at parks, storage lots, dealerships, and private residences across Corpus Christi, Port Aransas, Rockport, Aransas Pass, Portland, Ingleside, Padre Island, Mustang Island, Kingsville, and surrounding Coastal Bend communities. Any travel cost is built directly into the quote — never added as a surprise.
What does a Corpus Christi RV inspection cost?
Pricing is determined case-by-case based on coach type, length, inspection scope, and location within the Coastal Bend. Travel is always built into the quote — you'll never see a surcharge added after the fact. Optional fluid analysis is $125 per fluid (engine oil, transmission, coolant, generator oil, etc.). Call (940) 297-7554 with your coach details for an up-front quote.
Are you NRVIA Certified?
Yes. Dewayne Marion is an NRVIA Certified RV Inspector and operates HD-RV LLC under the standards and code of ethics established by the National RV Inspectors Association. Every inspection follows NRVIA protocols and produces a detailed digital report with photographs, severity ratings, and recommendations.
How fast can I get a report?
Most digital inspection reports are delivered within 24 hours of the on-site inspection. Buyers often need fast turnaround to act on a deal — we structure our workflow around that reality.
Can you inspect a coach for an out-of-state buyer?
Yes. A large portion of our work is acting as eyes-on-the-ground for buyers who cannot fly to Texas before purchase. We document every system thoroughly with high-resolution photos and video clips so out-of-state buyers can make confident, informed decisions without ever stepping foot on the lot.
Ready When You Are

Don't gamble on a coastal RV.

The Gulf is unforgiving on coaches — but a thorough inspection levels the playing field. Schedule yours today and buy with confidence.
